Who is this group for?
This group is for you if:
You are struggling with problematic sex and/or porn use or you have been told you have a sex and/or porn addiction.
You are 19 years of age or older.
You are a resident of SK, BC, AB, or NL.

What is problematic sex and/or porn use?
When I refer to problematic sex and/or porn use, I’m referring to compulsive sexual behaviour.
Okay, what is compulsive sexual behaviour?
It is characterized by a persistent pattern of failure to control intense, repetitive sexual impulses or urges, resulting in repetitive sexual behavior over an extended period (e.g., six months or more) that causes marked distress or impairment in personal, family, social, educational, occupational or other important areas of functioning (World Health Organization, 2020).
What topics are covered in this group?
There’s a focus on breaking through denial and self-delusion, understanding your addictive system, what compulsive behaviours you have and what is compulsive sex, acceptance, learning a new way to respond to change and crisis without dysfunctional sex and/or porn use, relapse prevention and defining your addiction specifically, managing the physical impact of your compulsive behaviours, your arousal template, relationships and support networks, and a very brief look at long-term recovery.

8-week group therapy program offered on Zoom for 90 mins. weekly.
Those in group therapy can also schedule individual therapy sessions beginning in October 2024.
Total = $720.00 (You can choose to pay weekly, biweekly, monthly, or all at once.)
$180.00 deposit (included in total) required at time of registration.
A credit card number or direct debit account will be required to be put on file at time of registration.

Payment can be made by: Credit card, direct debit, etransfer. Receipt will be emailed to you with each payment.
Cancellation policy: As I am a private therapist, because your registration may have been filled by another client, and because a multi-week commitment is required for this group, payment will be required for any weeks missed.
Insurance/Benefits:
I am a Registered Social Worker. Insurance plans and extended benefits often cover services for Registered Social Workers. Please inquire with your insurance provider with any questions regarding your coverage. Please note: I do not direct bill to third party insurance plans. Receipts will be emailed with each payment, which you can then submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
Also, I am an approved counsellor with Victim Services, and I’m a mental health provider with Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB). Please inquire with these organizations for further information on obtaining coverage for counselling/therapy.
