Global News - Interview on Loneliness During Pandemic
In February 2021, a journalist with Global News asked if I’d be interested in an interview for a larger story about the effects of loneliness during the COVID-19 global pandemic.
Featured in this story are other mental health professionals in Saskatchewan, along with the personal stories of a couple individual’s experience during the pandemic. I shared my professional thoughts on how the isolation has largely contributed to the decline in the mental health of individuals, as well as to those in recovery for addiction. I fear the long-term effects of the pandemic on our mental health, including addiction, relationships, grief, and loss.
