BSW, RSW, ASAT, AMAT, EMDR-Trained Clinician

I grew up in a community in northern Manitoba with deep and complex experiences of parentification, and other family dynamics, in a family system with mental illness, addiction, disability, and 2SLGBTQ+ identities. Soon after turning 18, I moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where I reside today. I’m in recovery for behavioural addiction, developmental + relational trauma, and complicated grief. In recent years, I developed a chronic and progressive neurological disorder(s), which is a whole story of its own.

As a therapist, I can see all the intricacies and interconnectedness of it all. Quite frankly, human beings and family systems fascinate me, and I’m deeply passionate about the work I do. Much of the work I do is meaning-making for me. I have a drive to understand what, why, and how we - as humans - do the things we do, and what we can do to rewire, heal, recover, and integrate new ways of being with the things we cannot change.

I approach therapy eclectically, meaning I use a variety of modalities with each individual I’m working with based on the needs that you and I, together, decide. Integrative, trauma-responsive, culturally-attuned, person-centred care should be the standard of practice. As such, I approach therapy from an integrative, interdisciplinary, and neurobiological lens.
